CEPHS Faculty of Public Health Hasanuddin University Holds Enumerator Training for Covid-19 Serosurveillance in South Sulawesi
The Center for Tropical Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing, Gadjah Mada University (FK-KMK UGM) in collaboration with the Center for Epidemiology and Population Health FKM Unhas (CEPHS) in the research “Cross-Sectional Covid-19 Serosurveillance in Several Provinces in Indonesia”.
This research was carried out in 4 provinces in Indonesia, including South Sulawesi, where 16 districts/cities were selected as research locations in South Sulawesi.
As one of the stages in the research which aims to see how the Covid-19 antibody is in South Sulawesi, CEPHS conducted training for 64 enumerators which was held at the Harper Hotel, 3-4 September 2022.
In this training Dr. Risalia Arisanti, MPH as a representative from FK-KMK UGM together with Leily Trianty, BSc (Hons), MSc, PhD. from the Eijkman Institute were present to provide training prior to piloting research in the Tamalanrea Indah Village, Kec. Tamalanrea.
Previously a kickoff meeting had also been held involving the Indonesian Ministry of Health, the Provincial Health Office and the District/City Health Office who were involved in this research.
This activity is part of socialization and coordination with parties who will later assist in this research.
Ansariadi, PhD as Director of CEPHS FKM Unhas stated that research supported by the US-CDC is useful in measuring the prevalence of SARS-CoV 2 antibodies in the population and the risk factors that influence it.
